I was mostly offline yesterday celebrating the day with my kids, so I'm only seeing this now. And I hear you: I also had a father that abandoned us. I used to think that I carried some sort of mark that people could see about how my father left us and the harm he did to my mom. I carried hate/rage for many years and didn't find help until I went to therapy and found Adult Children of Alcoholics & Dysfunctional Families. Hope your Monday is better than yesterday!
